Thacker Sleight has an immediate opportunity for an excellent attorney with 3-4 years of Estate Planning experience. You must know what you are doing in Estate Planning without needing guidance—this is a prerequisite to this position, as you will be the team leader for the Estate Planning Practice Area. Mac and Wealth Counsel experience will put you at the top of candidates for consideration.
The position will include, but is not limited to:
• Direct Client contact.
• Court appearances as needed in probate matters.
• Extensive case preparation and drafting of Estate Planning Documents, including but not limited to General Documents, Sophisticated Planning, Tax Planning, Asset Protection Planning, Charitable Giving, Understanding of Retirement Plans related to Tax Issues, and Estate Planning.
You must provide exceptional service and outstanding results to our clients.
The ideal candidate must be professional, entrepreneurial, driven, motivated, self-starter who wants to excel and aspires to the highest level of work. Candidates must have excellent attention to detail, be well-spoken, have strong communication and analytical skills, meet deadlines, and have a great team attitude. You need to have a strong work ethic with the ability to manage clients and their matters and make judgment calls as needed, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to take on new responsibilities.
Candidates must be licensed to practice in Michigan, have a minimum of 3 years of estate planning experience with excellent references. You must be tech-savvy and able to work with technology independently and be looking for a long-term position. A competitive salary is commensurate with experience.
