Courtney Sierra graduated from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Juris Doctor, cum laude, and received her bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University.

A born leader, Courtney strives to be her best for her clients, family, and others. Confident, bold, and focused, Courtney is passionate about providing outstanding service and results to her clients.

Courtney Sierra focuses her practice exclusively on family law, including divorces and custody matters. Her comprehensive family law experience includes handling divorces involving complex child custody disputes. Courtney helps clients resolve disputes without litigation but is equally skilled in a trial setting.

Before her legal career, Courtney Sierra worked with adults and children to help them learn to cope, emotionally and psychologically, with the challenges that mental health difficulties bring as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Therapist. Ms. Sierra’s experience working with children in a therapeutic setting gives her the ability to look at complex custody matters uniquely and beneficially. Courtney is currently the Chair of the Grand Rapids Bar Association’s Family Law Section.
